A topically applied solution that removes dead skin cells on the outer layer of the epidermis. Chemical peels stimulate collagen production, improve fine lines and wrinkles, diminish acne scarring, improve skin tone and minimize pigmentation.
Chemical peel treatments range from a superficial exfoliation to a deep exfoliation. Peel choice is determined upon consultation. You may purchase and schedule a peel according to the downtime you are willing to tolerate. Depending on your concerns and goals, different options may be suggested and prove more beneficial. Superficial (Enzyme) Chemical Exfoliation Peels
Also known as a "lunchtime peel", these chemical peels are the mildest in nature and safe for all skin types. Best utilized before an event or for a light skin care pick-me-up. These mild peels promote cellular proliferation at a superficial layer and are used to treat dull, lifeless skin, mild acne, fine lines, and superficial hyperpigmentation. Clients may experience mild redness temporarily with little to no downtime expected.
Anticipated Rejuvenation Duration: 0-5 days
Peels Used: Enzyme, Mandelic 30%, Enzyme/AHA Blend, Enzyme BHA Blend, Brightening Peel Mask
Superficial Chemical Exfoliation Peels
These peels target the uppermost layers of skin cells and are safe for most skin types. Superficial strength peels promote regeneration of tissues and supporting constituents, yielding brighter more radiant skin. These peels minimize pores, fine lines, and wrinkles, tighten, brighten, and tone. Best results are achieved with regular monthly use. Clients may experience redness and mild peeling if any, with little to no downtime.
Anticipated Rejuvenation Duration: 5-7 days
Peels Used: Glycolic 30%, Lactic 30%, Mandelic 30%, Salicylic 10%, Light Modified Jessner Blend (Lactic, Salicylic, and Glycolic - 7%)
Moderate Chemical Exfoliation Peels
These peels penetrate further into skin tissue to promote cellular turnover in the middle and upper layers of the skin. Moderate peels reduce hyperpigmentation, clogged pores, acne breakouts, wrinkles, sun damage, and precancerous skin growths. They improve overall skin tone and texture, tighten, lighten, and brighten. They are safe for most skin types but are not recommended for some. Clients may experience redness and visible cellular rejuvenation with little downtime.
Anticipated Rejuvenation Duration: 7-10 days
Peels Used: Lactic Acid 45%, Glycolic 45%, Salicylic 20%, Light Jessner (Resorcinol, Lactic, and Salicylic - 7%), Light Jessner Bright (Standard Light Jessner with 2% Hydroquinone)
Deep Chemical Exfoliation Peels
The most aggressive and in-depth peels in our salon. These peels target melasma, severe photodamage, deep wrinkles, scarring, and precancerous growths on the skin. A series of moderate peels is recommended before deep peels unless we are familiar with your skin. Deep peels work best in a series of 3-6, depending on the concern and goal. Advanced chemical peels penetrate to the deepest (subcutaneous) layer of skin and cause a second-degree burn. In some instances, a product prep is required before beginning a series. Clients should expect moderate to aggressive peeling, tightness, and prolonged redness with some downtime. Peeling typically lasts 5-7 days.
Anticipated Rejuvenation Duration: 15-30 days
Peels Used: Modified Jessner, Jessner, Ultra Jessner, TCA
